These last two decades, the NanoBioMAG team used its knowledge of materials science to advance the field of nanomedicine, by adopting the « materials » angle from the outset. The goal has been to provide the fullest possible picture of the modes of action and fates of (magnetic) nanoparticles (NPs) in their biological target environments. In doing so, we have worked (1) in biophysics and bioengineering, (2) in physical chemistry interfacing with therapy, and (3) in bioproduction, in particular of extracellular vesicles.
